The Drivers-Pressures-State-Impact-Response Model to Structure Cause?Effect Relationships between Agriculture and Aquatic Ecosystems

Different segments of society have shown interest in understanding the effects human activities on ecosystems. To this end, aim article is to analyze scientific literature application Drivers-Pressures-State-Impact-Response (DPSIR) conceptual model identify parameters used describe causal interactions that occur between agriculture and aquatic ecosystems at watershed scale. In way, descriptive indicators were established for data 63 publications collected through Scopus, Web Science, Science Direct. The results confirm great heterogeneity interpretation pressure, state, impacts components. Part discrepancy can be attributed use different indicators, as flexible generic. Overall, DPSIR a tool not only field, but also has demonstrated its potential guide public policy formulation, planning, decision-making water resource management.
